The annual 2013 AHIMA Long-Term and Post-Acute Care (LTPAC) Health IT Summit took place on June 17-18 in Baltimore. During the Summit, the LINTECH team connected with HIT leaders, policy makers, federal and state grantees, providers, vendors, professionals and standards development organizations, all focused on advancing policies and initiatives in alignment with the national health care strategy.
This year’s two-day Summit focused on strategies to bridge the gap between LTPAC providers and those incentivized to adopt EHR technology and the role of technology in reducing hospital readmissions. The summit also covered topics to advance policies and initiatives regarding the LTPAC Health IT Roadmap adopted in 2012.
